Karim Rashid, born in Cairo, Egypt in 1960, grew up in Canada, studied in Italy, and worked in KAN for seven years. In 1993, he opened his own studio, and his customers are well-known, including Nambe, Umbra, Idee, Issey Miyake, Totem, Pure Design, Estee Lauder, and Tommy Hilfiger.
