"Blank" New Deal activates the LED market

On March 1, a person in charge of the Energy Saving Office of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission said in an interview that LED lighting will usher in an outbreak this year, mainly due to the country's supportive policies. Since 2011, China has had an incandescent lamp elimination schedule. By October 1, 2014, it will ban the import and sale of incandescent lamps of 60 W or more. The ban on general public lighting incandescent lamps of 15 watts or more was banned on October 1, 2016.
In February 2013, the six ministries and commissions of the country also jointly released the “Semiconductor Lighting Energy-Saving Industry Plan”, and it is clear that by 2015, the market share of LED lighting products will reach more than 20%, and the sales volume will reach 180 billion yuan.
Taking lighting as an example, from the viewpoint of luminous brightness, the same wattage of LED lamps is 8 times that of incandescent lamps, which is twice that of energy-saving lamps. From the point of view of energy saving, LED lights are directly emitting light, unlike incandescent lamps that are converted from electrical energy into heat energy and then into light energy. Therefore, under the same brightness, the former consumes only one fifth of the latter's power, but its lifetime can be extended by a factor of four. Experts estimated that if lighting power consumption is saved by one third, China can save 100 billion kWh annually, which is equivalent to building a Three Gorges power station again.
