Toshiba launches high-gloss flux surface mount white LED
Toshiba America Electronic Components introduced the new TL12W01-D LED surface mount LED, expanding its lineup of white LED families, making it ideal for many residential and commercial lighting applications. Measuring only 10.5mm x 5.0mm x 2.1mm, this white LCD is mainly used in products that require high-brightness LCD backlighting but are space-constrained.
Toshiba's TL12W01-D white LEDs typically have a performance of 35 lumens per watt and a forward voltage of 3.4 volts at 250mA. The operating temperature range is -40--100 degrees. Suitable for many home and commercial lighting applications, it can replace ordinary incandescent lamps.
With an automatic lead-free production line, the new surface mount is compatible with 260 degree reflow soldering.
Toshiba's business development director, Yoshimichi Sasaki, said that Toshiba is aware of the growing demand for white LEDs and the growing demand for high brightness and low power consumption. The TL12W01-D meets the requirements of a variety of commercial lighting applications and has excellent power consumption characteristics. The demand for white LEDs in general lighting applications continues to grow. White LEDs have a longer operating life, lower power consumption and compact size than traditional incandescent and fluorescent lamps.
