Creating a Private VR Cinema, Yu Lens and New Cameras Launch New Channels for Online Movie Distribution

The human desire for a big-screen experience is deeply rooted in our nature. The evolution of mobile phone screens—from small to large—proves this instinct. With the rise of VR, it's now possible for individuals to carry an immersive, giant screen wherever they go. This innovation has opened up endless possibilities for the future, especially in the realm of cinematic VR. It shows that in the near future, everyone will be able to enjoy movies on their own personal giant screen from the comfort of their home. VR Network recently reported that Mirror has partnered with the largest film producer community in the country to launch a content distribution initiative. This collaboration offers users a wide range of video content through a pay-per-view model. New releases that just left the cinema are quickly making their way to video platforms, and soon, you’ll be able to watch them through Mirror. Additionally, the partnership between Mirror and the new studio represents a fresh approach by copyright holders to distribute content. A total of 60 exclusive films will be launched online by year-end, offering unique viewing experiences that aren’t available elsewhere. Another key opportunity for collaboration lies in the advantages of head-mounted devices. These devices combine the internet’s accessibility with the visual impact of cinema, addressing the limitations of traditional mobile and TV-based video experiences. According to the 2016 Internet Audiovisual Research Report, head-mounted displays are expected to become the mainstream viewing device in the future. By overcoming the limitations of online video, this new form of cinema can significantly boost revenue for film rights. The two products under the Mirror Group—the Mirror H2 and the Big Picture D1—deliver the visual effect of a 1,000-inch screen from 15 meters away, with single-eye 1080P resolution. This allows audiences to enjoy the same immersive experience as a movie theater without ever leaving home. The rapid growth of video platforms has increased user willingness to pay for premium content. Combined with the portability of head-mounted devices, this creates more diverse consumption scenarios. Whether at home or on the go, you can simply pull out your headset and watch a full-sized movie. Furthermore, the rise of internet-based theaters has freed films from the constraints of physical cinemas, giving viewers more choices and greater flexibility. According to VR Network, Atelier is currently in talks with several film and television companies to build a future-focused internet network that uses head-mounted devices as the primary platform. The company is committed to becoming a key channel for film copyright distribution, shaping the next era of entertainment.
