In 2009, the largest fundraising case in the LED industry initiated the cash increase of Jingdian, raising about 11.455 billion yuan. Li Bingjie, chairman of Jingdian, said that there is currently 20 billion yuan in cash on the hands of Jingdian. By 2010, China Crystal will add another 30 MOCVD machines to increase production capacity by 40%. After Jingdian, Yiguang will handle a cash increase of 2.8 billion yuan. Director of Everlight said that Everlight's monthly production of SMD-type LEDs has reached 1 billion. In 2010, it will expand production according to customers' orders, at least 30%.
In addition, Dingyuan’s board of directors last week approved a fund of 1.8 billion yuan. According to reports, after participating in Dingyuan’s cash increase, Jingdian did not rule out further participation in Dingyuan’s private placement. Fu Peiwen, chairman of Dingyuan Optoelectronics, said that Dingyuan will purchase 26 MOCVD machines and has increased the amount of private placement from the original 30 million shares to 100 million shares. The target of private placement has not yet been determined.
