Panel maker Chi Mei Electronics announced the board resolution on December 2. Liao Jinxiang, the former chairman of Chi Mei Electric Co., Ltd. (representative of Chi Mei Industrial Co., Ltd.), resigned as the chairman of Chi Mei Electric on the grounds of personal health factors (poor health). Vice Chairman and General Manager Duan Xingjian also resigned as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors on the grounds that the company will convene an interim board to recommend the new chairman and vice chairman, but still retain the positions of director and general manager.
