The circuit diagram of the color TV pillow correction system typically follows a standard design, often using components such as the South Korean Samsung MC-15, Venus C6418, V6458, Peony 64C1, and Lehua CT6388W. This setup ensures accurate signal processing for display correction. The field sawtooth voltage is transmitted through pin (4) of P404, passing through R455, C454, and R457 to form an integrating circuit. This process converts the sawtooth wave into a convex parabolic waveform, which is then fed into the parabolic shaping amplifier Q451 at its B terminal.
After amplification and shaping, Q451 outputs a 9V (peak-to-peak) concave parabolic wave from its C terminal. This signal is then sent to a network composed of VR451, VR452, R464, R463, and R462, which handles horizontal amplitude adjustment and left-right pincushion distortion correction. The composite transistor made up of Q453 and Q452 further amplifies the signal at its B terminal, producing a 12.5V (peak-to-peak) parabolic wave at the C terminal of Q452.
This final output is routed through pin (3) of FR459 and P403 to the line scanning circuit, where it modulates the scan current. This modulation plays a crucial role in correcting pincushion distortion, ensuring a more accurate and visually pleasing image on the screen. VR451 serves as the line adjustment potentiometer, while VR452 functions as the pincushion adjustment potentiometer, allowing for fine-tuned control over the display's geometry.
