Did you know? Virtual Reality is actually 81 years old.
Sorry, I have to admit that I might be jumping the gun a bit here. The connection between VR and Apple isn’t as strong as some people think.
This article is more of a personal reflection. I’ve had the chance to experience several VR products over the years and have seen a lot of VR content lately. At first, I wanted to bring some cold water to the current VR hype, but since there were no real samples around, I decided to put it on hold for now. Instead, I’m turning my attention to friends who haven’t even heard of VR yet, hoping to share some basic knowledge about this emerging technology. I’ve also picked up a few new facts along the way. I hope this helps everyone get familiar with it, even if we’re still not sure how long it will take for VR to truly integrate into our lives. If there are any inaccuracies in what I’ve shared, please let me know, and I’ll appreciate your understanding.
For a while now, news about "VR" has been everywhere. But what exactly is VR? Is it something completely new? Does it have a clear and specific form, like how we instantly think of a smartphone when we hear the word? And what’s the difference between VR and AR? I believe many users, including myself, didn’t get to experience VR until recently. We still have a lot of questions and don’t fully understand what it really is. All we see are endless “VR†updates that don’t seem relevant to us. So, I want to use simple language to explain this new concept and help everyone understand it better.

â—† Did you know? VR is already 81 years old.
Early Concepts: Many future technologies start off as just concepts before they become real. For example, many things once imagined in movies are now reality, like displays and other tech. VR is similar.
Back in 1935, a writer named Stanley G. Weinbaum wrote a novel that introduced the idea of virtual reality through glasses, involving an immersive experience that included sight, smell, and touch. This is considered the first work to introduce the concept of VR. So maybe we can say he's the "first ancestor" of the VR idea (I'm saying this myself, it might not be 100% accurate, but I think the meaning is clear).
VR may have started as a concept, but today it's becoming more and more real — and it's only going to evolve further.
