The world's first large-scale, high-power tracking solar led street lighting system was officially opened on Yingbin Avenue, Dazu County, Chongqing on the evening of November 9. The system is 4.3 kilometers in length and consists of 300 automatic tracking flat panel solar LED street lamps. The street lamp power supply can achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions.

In order to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, many countries hope to use solar power to reduce the consumption of traditional energy. China has also issued a call for energy conservation and emission reduction and implementation of a low-carbon economy. However, due to technical level, it currently includes the United States, France, and Japan. Solar street lamps, such as developed countries, generally have technical problems of low power and low conversion rate, which seriously affect the promotion and application of solar street lamps.

It is a national leader in tracking photovoltaic power generation technology introduced by Dazu County and developed and manufactured by Chongqing Zhonghan Solar Power Company under the Hanlong Group.

The street lamp system can not only automatically track the horizontal and vertical directions, but also maximize the area where the solar panels are exposed to sunlight, fully ensure the high efficiency of solar energy conversion into electric energy, and use no conventional power when the sunlight is sufficient. Realize zero emission of carbon dioxide from street lamp power supply. According to preliminary estimates, the entire streetlight system can save 870,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity throughout the year, and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 800 tons per year. In the 20-year operation period, it can reduce 16,000 tons.

The relevant person in charge of Dazu County said that Dazu is teaming up with Hanlong Group to jointly build a tens of billions of solar photovoltaic industry clusters. In 2010, the output value will exceed 10 billion yuan.
