DIALOG launches the latest series of DSP audio codecs DA7322 and DA7323
Beijing, China, September 18, 2014 – Dialog Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (Frankfurt stock code: DLG), a provider of highly integrated power management, AC / DC, solid-state lighting, and Bluetooth® smart wireless technology, today released two new audio DSPs Codec (DSP CODEC): DA7322 and DA7323, aiming at products equipped with up to 4 analog and digital microphones respectively.
The above products not only have the most advanced digital signal processor (DSP) functions, but also have extremely low power consumption. They are specially developed for voice applications in next-generation tablet computers, wearable devices, webcam accessories, and in-car entertainment systems.
The new audio codec includes a 24-bit DSP, which is equipped with an advanced voice engine package, which uses multi-channel beamforming, noise suppression and echo cancellation technology to achieve a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of more than 35db. The result is significantly enhanced call performance and sound quality for VoIP and voice recognition applications, which is especially important for end users who need to use smart devices more and more in noisy environments.

DA7322 and DA7323 have a built-in low-power voice controller designed for wearable devices. It can support more than a dozen keywords with an accuracy rate of up to 95%, and no miscontrol will occur in noisy environments. This feature is reflected in Sensory's TrulyHandsFree â„¢ always-on voice control and recognition software. The software has voice-activated search, user-defined voice-activated commands, speaker verification and identity recognition, and provides multilingual support.
The beamforming technology used in the DA7322 and DA7323 voice engine packages is designed to provide maximum flexibility in the installation position of the microphone to support end-fire and multi-MIC configurations. The beamforming algorithm can also suppress various fixed and non-fixed noise sources.
The embedded DSP engine package contains a set of audio enhancement special effects "SmartEffects" including multi-band equalization and stereo expansion. In addition, it also includes a psychoacoustic bass enhancement function; users can enable this function to enhance the low frequency response for playback on low-cost speakers; at the same time, dynamic range control and volume adjustment can achieve higher and consistent volume.
The advanced accessory detection function in these codecs supports three-pole and four-pole jack detection, so it can automatically detect the type of headset used without any external adapter. DA7322 can support 4 analog microphones, DA7323 can support 3 analog microphones or 2 pairs of stereo digital microphones.
Dialog DA7322 and DA7323 are packaged in 66-bump WL-CSP and are currently available in volume.
