The world’s first 4K HDR Travelxp 4K will be broadcast on October 1 at the European satellite company Eutelsat’s Hotbird constellation.
In the coming months, the channel will provide services in English, Spanish, Polish, Serbian, Croatian, and Dutch. More languages ​​will be added in the future.
Initially, the channel will launch 100 hours of travel programs. Previously, Travelxp's HD channel has been successful. The channel provides 100% of original travel and lifestyle programs to 50 million households worldwide.
The Travelxp 4K channel is HEVC coded and supports the HDG standard HDR format jointly developed by the BBC and NHK. The HLG standard can display ultra-high definition images (using SDR mode) on standard dynamic range (SDR) TVs.
