There are roughly the following requirements for the leads of the transformer in the overhaul:
(1) The outer insulation and white cloth should be fastened and cleaned.
(2) The connection between the first and second strands of soft leads and the conductive rods must be connected with a tinned copper nose or tinned copper.
(3) For the primary lead of the cascade voltage transformer, multiple strands of soft twisted copper wire should be used, and a layer of wax cloth tube can be worn outside.
(4) The lead wire of the cable sleeve is fixed with a bakelite ring or a cardboard loop to the inside of the sleeve, and is fastened with a cloth strap.
(5) The length of the lead should be moderate and should have a certain margin, but it should not be too long.
(6) If the lead wire needs to be reconstituted, it should be as follows:

1) The lead wire of the voltage transformer is generally made of multi-strand soft-twisted copper wire, and its cross-section shall not be smaller than the original lead cross-section. When the secondary lead is originally a single copper wire, a single copper wire can be prepared. The diameter of a single root lead shall not be less than 1.8mm.
2) The lead wire is overlapped. The length of the lap joint shall not be less than 5 times the diameter of the wire, and the individual case shall be equal to 3 times.
3) Apply the polished fine copper wire after welding, and weld the solder evenly. The solder joint should be clean and free of burrs.
4) After welding, the insulation of the burnt coke should be cut into a cone shape, and the insulation should be wrapped again as required.
5) If the lead nose is reconfigured, its cross section should be 20% larger than the lead cross section, and the nose hole should be 1.5~2 mm larger than the diameter of the guide rod.
