Japan introduces JEL 801 straight tube LED lamp standard

The most important factor affecting the safety of straight tube type LED lamps is whether the circuit is compatible. At present, some straight tube type LED lamps use a port compatible with straight tube type fluorescent lamps, which can be directly mounted on the fluorescent lamp holder, but the circuit must be modified. For example, if the stabilizer for the fluorescent lamp is removed, or the ballast is replaced with a rectifier, if the straight tube type LED lamp is mounted on the unmodified lamp holder, it may cause smoke, fire, and the like.

The JEL 801 straight tube type LED lamp standard set by the Japan Electric Ball Industry Association is dangerous to avoid the consumer accidentally installing the straight tube type LED lamp on an incompatible circuit. It is not compatible with the straight tube type fluorescent lamp. The gold design of the mouth and the safety measures of the gold reinforcement are strengthened, so that the lamp can be more stably installed on the lamp holder to avoid the danger of falling during an earthquake.
