Molex Introduces Transcend® to Cisco® Digital Ceilings

(Singapore – April 5, 2016) Molex confirmed its participation in the Cisco® Digital Ceiling Partner Community, this event on February 17th at Cisco Live in Berlin! First held at the show. Molex, the developer of the Transcend® network-connected LED lighting system, announced in November 2015 that it has reached a solution technology collaboration relationship with Cisco. As a member of the Digital Ceiling Partner Community, Molex actively assists customers with digital ceilings to help transform the digital transformation of buildings.

Cisco and its 15 founding digital ceiling partner companies are accelerating the digital ceiling deployment process, starting with indoor lighting powered by Cisco's high-security network infrastructure. This scalable, repeatable, and implantable frame is ideal for commercial lighting, with Cisco's proven design and documented solution architecture. It can be applied to many places such as commercial buildings, educational facilities, medical institutions, and manufacturing and storage facilities.

As part of this digital ceiling frame, Molex works with LED lighting partner companies to provide Transcend network-connected LED lighting systems. Transcend is an intelligent low-voltage network system that provides both power and control for LED luminaires and other devices.
