Samsung Note 7 restarts sales in Korea

Since the global suspension of sales on September 1, the Samsung Note 7 that was affected by the battery accident has finally been reopened.

According to foreign media reports, Samsung recently said that the new version of Note 7 that has been confirmed by security will restart sales in the Korean mainland starting October 1. Sales in other countries and regions around the world will also be restarted after the completion of the recall. The specific date is expected to wait until November.

According to reports, Note 7 currently sold in the Korean domestic market has completed 73% of recalls or replacements, of which approximately 23,000 were replaced on September 28. And, the vast majority of surveyed users have expressed no objection to the recall of Note 7. Almost no users have chosen to refund, and most of them still maintain their enthusiasm for Samsung and Note 7.

Currently, the three major telecom operators in Korea, SK Teleco, KT, and LG Uplus have all reactivated the activation service. Note 7 sold through the pre-order purchase service last month has already been activated by about 16,000 units. This is the case for the Korean market. The new phone sold on the market is a very good result.

Some retailers predict that Note 7’s sales volume will reach around 20,000 on the same day that sales resume in Korea.

Samsung officials announced that more than 1 million users worldwide have now replaced the secure Note 7. However, there are 2.5 million Note 7 parts that need to be recalled. Currently, there are still 60% of the security risks. Note 7 is still “outside”.

After the Bank of China's Note 7 explosions were exposed, Samsung had once again issued a statement stating that the location of the damage was not in the battery area, and there were no visible signs of damage inside the battery. It was presumed that the phone was burned due to external thermal shock. Still think that the country's Note 7 battery has no safety problems.
