Liquid milk black and white film packaging ink layer bonding fastness detection program - Database & Sql Blog Articles
Abstract: The degradation of the ink layer on liquid milk packaging can significantly impact product appearance and even damage consumer confidence in product quality. Conducting fastness tests on the ink layer helps prevent issues like ink flaking due to friction during transportation. This article details the testing process, principles, and equipment parameters used to evaluate the bonding strength of the ink layer on black and white film packaging for liquid milk using Labthink BLJ-02 disc peeling tester and YGJ-02 adhesive tape presser, providing a reference for companies to ensure quality in packaging material inspection.

1, Introduction
Liquid milk packaging often uses surface printing to display essential information such as production date, shelf life, and storage instructions. The adhesion strength of the ink layer is a critical factor that determines the durability of the printed design. Since the ink is exposed to external conditions, poor adhesion can lead to peeling or smudging during transport, storage, or handling. This not only affects the visual appeal of the product but also makes it difficult for consumers to access important information. Therefore, ensuring strong ink adhesion is vital for maintaining product integrity and consumer satisfaction. Companies should conduct regular adhesion tests to guarantee the quality of their packaging materials.

2, Testing Basis
The test procedure follows the guidelines outlined in section 5.7 of GB/T 7707-2008, "Gravure Decorated Printed Matter."
3, Test Samples
A sample of black and white film packaging was provided by a dairy company.
4, Testing Equipment
The study utilized the BLJ-02 disc peeling tester and YGJ-02 adhesive tape presser, both developed by Jinan Languang Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd., to evaluate the adhesion of the ink layer on the packaging.

4.1 Test Principle
An appropriate adhesive tape is applied to the printed surface of the sample. The tape and sample are rolled under standard pressure, number of passes, and speed. After a set time, the tape is peeled off at a specific angle to check if the ink layer has been removed, thereby determining the adhesion strength of the ink.
4.2 Application Scope
(1) In addition to testing ink adhesion on plastic films and cellophane, the equipment can also be used for evaluating adhesion of coatings on vacuum metallized films and coated films.
(2) The equipment complies with multiple standards, including GB/T 7707, JIS C2107, and JIS Z0237.
4.3 Equipment Specifications
(1) BLJ-02 Disc Peeling Tester
l The pressure between the discs is 100 N, and the peeling speed is 0.8 m/s.
l Designed according to national standards, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
l Features an automatic alarm system for user safety.
l Controlled via a microcomputer with a PVC panel and LCD display for easy operation.
(2) YGJ-02 Adhesive Tape Presser
l Rolling speed: 300 mm/min; load: 20 N ± 0.5 N; rolling cycles: 3 times.
l The roller’s quality and rubber thickness meet standard requirements, ensuring precise and repeatable results.
5, Test Procedure
(1) Apply the adhesive tape to the printed surface of the sample.
(2) Place the sample on the press machine and roll it back and forth three times for 10 minutes.
(3) Clamp one end of the sample on disk A and fix the tape on disk B.
(4) Start the peeling tester and peel the tape at 0.8 m/s.
(5) Remove the sample, cover the tested area with transparent paper, and count the number of ink layers remaining (Aâ‚) and those lost (Aâ‚‚).
(6) Calculate the adhesion strength: [Aâ‚ / (Aâ‚ + Aâ‚‚)].
6, Test Results
The ink layer on the sample was partially removed, resulting in an adhesion strength of 95%.
7, Conclusion
The BLJ-02 disc peeling tester and YGJ-02 adhesive tape presser are efficient tools for evaluating ink adhesion on printed materials. Their simple operation and accurate results make them ideal for assessing the quality of black and white film packaging.
