In the snowy world, green cucumbers, green vegetables, lettuce, parsley, leeks, oilseeds, radish and onions have matured, and the expedition team members also packed a fragrant leeks dumplings.

At the beginning of this year, the world's first solar greenhouse built in the South Pole was born. It is located at the Great Wall Station, covering an area of ​​36 square meters. The large-area lighting material of the “Shanghai Greenhouse” is not glass, but a hollow transparent plastic plate used to make aircraft portholes. The rate is over 90%, the insulation performance is good, and it can survive the blizzard. During the extreme period, the greenhouse uses natural light to grow vegetables; during the night, LED photos are used to achieve photosynthesis of plants. For example, when the lettuce is mature, the leaves are harvested in pieces, so that they can eat for 2 months and eat more than one month for one-time harvest.

Next year, the company's employees will go to Zhongshan Station to build China's second Antarctic greenhouse, which is larger than the Great Wall Station greenhouse.
