However, shipments of the top 15 ODM TV manufacturers worldwide reached 84.9 million units, an increase of 18.1% over the same period last year. Sigmaintell analysis is due to the fact that the technology of the foundry is getting better and better in recent years, and the production speed is extremely fast and the cost is low. Many brand TV manufacturers have outsourced their own low-end products to the ODM factory.
According to statistics, the outsourcing orders of brand TV suppliers increased by 15% year-on-year in 2107, so that the TV ODM industry can still achieve contrarian growth in the face of the downturn.
In 2017, TPV Technology remained the largest ODM TV supplier with its strong R&D capabilities, with shipments increasing by 2.6% year-on-year to 16.3 million units. After Foxconn acquired Sharp, it successfully opened up the supply chain. In 2017, shipments increased by 72.8% to 14.6 million units, ranking second.
Mainland TV ODMs also saw huge growth. TCL SCBC's shipments increased by 24.3% year-on-year to 8.3 million units. BOE's shipments increased by 12.5% ​​to 7.7 million units, and Shenzhen MTC's shipments increased by 25.7%. 6.5 million units.
