LED lamps are now Blu-ray overflow problem, the industry recommends the development of mandatory standards

It is understood that blue light, as a kind of color light, is ubiquitous in various lamps. Professor Sun Xinghuai, president of Shanghai ENT Hospital, said that most of the current LED lamps on the market are blue light emitted by the chip, which stimulates the yellow phosphor to reconcile into white light. Therefore, the blue light problem of LED is particularly prominent.
Dr. Yang Weiqiao, deputy director of the National Semiconductor Lighting Application Systems Engineering Technology Research Center, said that there is no direct scientific evidence for Blu-ray.
Dr. Zhang Shanduan, deputy director of the Institute of Electric Light Sources at Fudan University, said that a recent example of Blu-ray damage is that the blue light of the Yuba lamp caused a baby's eyes in Xi'an to be burned, eventually leading to blindness. He found a national standard called "Photobiosafety of Lights and Light Systems", and a chapter devoted to blue light hazard and quantitative calculations, he said, unfortunately, this is only a recommended standard for manufacturers. There is no enforcement. At present, there is almost no threshold for entering the LED industry. Especially in the downstream assembly of lamps and lanterns, there are many hand workshops for husband and wife shop models, which cannot be discussed as a quality control system. The industry is now arguing that there is no need for mandatory photobiosafety testing of LED luminaires.
For the blue light overflow of LED, Zhang Shanduan believes that this problem is not insurmountable. The development of products with low color temperature and enhanced secondary light distribution can significantly reduce the harm. He said that it is imperative to do two things. First, the state should formulate mandatory standards as soon as possible. Second, it is necessary to organize experts to give recommendations for use.
